A Sprint Store, a Mary Kay Team, and an Idea
Both founders had become Mary Kay representatives, and the story of how STEMM Kids launched begins there. A local Sprint store offered to help get the STEM program started by hosting an event, and the store also offered to help the founders with Sprint service. The founders spoke with their Mary Kay leader, who told them they could set up the event.
That event launched STEMM Kids. The program's first public day took place inside the store, and it was a success, with plenty of sales and plenty of new families meeting the program. It was the first of many events in stores, at schools, and in libraries.
